Google Grants in less than an hour

Time and time again I come across small to mid-size nonprofit organizations that are interested in the Google Grants program, but don’t have a lot of time to spend learning to use the Adwords tool, or coming up with dozens of long tail keywords. For these organizations, I believe the secret to using Google Grants successfully is to limit the time spent on setup and maintenance.

TechSoup is doing something pretty cool that you should know about. They’ve got a digital storytelling challenge going on that’s one part competition and one part professional instruction. Storytelling is the secret sauce to being successful with video in your work. You don’t need the most expensive camera on the market and you don’t need to be a pro if you can tell a story.
